Introduction Clarendon Fund program at the University of Oxford:

The Clarendon Fund is a major postgraduate scholarship scheme at the University of Oxford, offering around 140 new scholarships each year. Clarendon Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement and potential in all degree subjects for postgraduate students at the University of Oxford.

Scholarship Benefits:

All Clarendon scholarships cover tuition and college fees in full.

Academics on full-time courses receive a generous annual living costs grant – at least £17,668 in 2023-24. Academics studying part-time courses will receive a Learning Support Grant to help with non-fee costs. Scholarships are usually available for the entire period you are required to pay tuition fees to the university, which is usually the same as the length of your course.


Qualification for Clarendon Fund:

Clarendon Scholarships are awarded to graduate students from around the world on the basis of outstanding academic merit and potential. Scholarships are available across all subject areas and are open to candidates who apply to a new Master's or PhD program before the January admissions deadline.

Application instructions:

If you apply for a full-time or part-time master's or PhD course at the University of Oxford before the December or January course deadlines, you will automatically be considered for a Clarendon Scholarship. 

You do not need to submit any additional documentation specifically for the Clarendon Scholarship - there is no separate scholarship application form. However, if you wish to be awarded a scholarship, you will need to apply for your course before the December or January deadline (January 5 or 19, 2024).
